This page showcases the life-sized version of a blade that I designed, named "Vermillion". It is the blade wielded by Dylan Andrews, and is a monster bludgeoning sword.
During the band's travels Dylan stumbles upon a colossal sword being sold by a local vendor. The vendor boastfully guarantees that whoever can simply pick up the monster sword can take it away as his prize. Dylan, much to his and the crowd's surprise, is able to wield the sword easily.
As the story progresses, the band realizes that this blade is the Red Magic Sword, and is resistant to any red magic attacks.

While designing the blade I was inspired by monster swords such as Zabuza's sword in "Naruto". I was also inspired by Beauty and the Beast, hence the strong rose theme. This also includes the designs for Dylan's pocket watch, which I plan to continue to develop later.
Materials used for the blade's construction include: cardboard, worble, sculpey clay, EVA foam, acrylic paint, as well as an old curtain rod.
